Grimwald Patch 3 Devlog
Greetings everyone!
After quite a while Grimwald Patch 3 is here and is the one with the most content so far!
Sadly saves from previous patches aren’t compatible but there should be enough change throughout the game to make it worth a restart! One of the plans for the next update will be to improve save compatibility with system changes to prevent this kind of issue in future versions.
Has the number of changes in this update is quite big I'll review the main changes:
A new place to discover:
The path to Central Grimwald starts to unveil as the northernmost part of Southern Grimwald is now open! With this new part of the world available comes a lot of new friends and enemies to encounter but also new mysteries and secrets.
Build a paradise:
Following the events at Welbert’s castle, you will be put in charge of your own village it will be up to you to make it the best place there is in Grimwald. By gathering new resources in the wild you will be able to build your own place, of course it will have its benefits as some buildings will grant you resources overtime, don't forget to go fetch them from time to time!
Beards:
After the hairs in the previous patch come the beards! Only one type other than the no beard default type, is available in this version but more will come, so stay tuned!
New skills:
A new type of skills that can be charged to deliver more damages has been discovered and replaced some old skills or became new ones!
A new branch has been added to the support skill tree with two new active skills and a new passive one!
Other changes:
There has been a lot of changes in this version and I’ve lost track of quite a lot of them but here is a quick list of other notable changes:
Sprint! The player can now run by holding the shift button it will consume stamina over time and stamina won't refill as long as the player tries to run, careful not to be too tired when you arrive in a monster den!
Stun mechanic some enemies and skill can now stun their target for a set amount of time stunned characters can’t act at all making it a quite dire situation to be in.
The knockback mechanic has been updated and is now more interesting, use the obstacles on the terrain to damage and stun the enemies but be careful of not being pushed yourself.
A lot of new items and equipments are now available. Look around to find them!
Lights/Graphics have been updated it's still not beautiful but it's better!

- If you played one of the previous patches, you should notice that the gatherable resources in the wild now take far more time to recover, they also won't recover when leaving and reentering an area anymore.
- A lot of changes on the balancing side too for enemies, skills and equipments.
- And last but not least a lot of bugfixes (And of course probably a lot of new bugs that are yet to be discovered!)
